Trailer dropped for the new Tomb Raider reboot.

Looks like it could have potential.

Nothing I would go to the theater to see, but will catch it when it hits the premium channels.

Yeah - just watched it mesel' . . . we're using that "potential" word quite a bit lately :)

Dunno - coincidentally - another face that bugs me.

Will take me a while to get over Angelina Jolie doing an "exit stage left" I guess.

she looks more 'like' the image of Lara Croft. Never was a Jolie fan...
she's okay, but felt she was miscast for that role.

But anything to keep the young boys tuned in, I suppose.

Not sure how the new actress could turn on young boys? Different strokes I guess. IMO she is about as plain( no doubt purposely so in today's climate ) and as far from Lara Croft as one can get, and looks more like a crossfit fanatic. No one likes to admit it that Lara Croft being a buxom beauty is part of what made Tomb Raider, but it's an inconvenient truth nonetheless. With that said the movie could be good but being being a videogame movie( with the exception of Silent Hill 1 and 2 IMO ) I'm not going to hold my breath.

I am sure I won't go see it in theaters but I believe Vikander was a good cast choice. Enjoyed her work in Ex Machina and watched her working out for Tomb Raider showing off her back muscle definition. She looks close enough to Lara from "Rise of the Tomb Raider" that this could possibly work and be worthy of watching.

Fair point being as I never played "Rise of the Tomb Raider" so I was unaware of how much they changed the model.

Was a ref to Jolie and her big bosoms being the turn on... not the new one.
