Space Host sculpted by Erick Sosa

#1 Post by sivousplay »

One more post and then I'll be quiet for a while. Erick Sosa's awesome 1/6 scale Space Host. As always, hand-painted with acrylics and inks. I tried to make the power claw look as organic and gritty in contrast to how clean our heroine is. Also, take a look at her goggles; tried to show the reflection of a grim "Fallout-like" world in the lens. If you'd like to see more pictures, please visit my web-site at http://sivousplay.net/html/spacehost.html

I hope you like her.

That lens reflection is a really nice touch!

As usual, your imagination and talent combine to give us an impressive build.

Stunning colour palette and the textures you've created are outstanding.

A spectacular build.

Hey @sivousplay ! AWESOME JOB JIM! That third photo, the back shot, has a Klimt x Caravaggio feel to it. LOVE IT!

Please tell me that little face in the stand glows in the dark! What colors did you use to paint it? ~Nate.

Can anyone tell me where the rest of the Space Host pics went? I can't find them in the Model Museum, nor the Gallery, and I thought there were some in one or the other.

What an abomination! Who could come up with something so ugly?
Nicely done though, but what a nightmare to conceive such a sculpt.

Another amazing piece Jim. Your choice of colors and style of painting takes the sculpt to another level.

You did a fantastic job...she looks outstanding! I remember seeing a kit like this on eBay some time back. Wanted to get my hands on her, but the cost was out of my budget. Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks to everyone for your super kind words ... I really appreciate them all.

Sorry Nate, the face in the base does not glow in the dark ... that's a cool idea though. I painted her face with a mixture of very light flesh tones and a patina green.
