#1 Post by tay666 »

Saw this trailer yesterday.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NhxthKUINQ

Guess we will find out later this year if it's any good.

it's been a long haul for Shane in getting this movie to where
it is now. LOTS of bumps along the way.

As you can imagine, I've been following this in quite some detail since the idea was originally floated :)

I've avoided the major spoilers (like the leaked script - which apparently stayed pretty intact), but do know the basic ideas behind the plot.

This teaser trailer and stills, plus early magazine photos, haven't allayed the concerns of the fanbase - they immediately brought to mind the god-awful AVP-R.

The humour is a nice touch though (and was the best bits in the teaser trailer).

The major facepalm for me (and mine) was . . . WHY-OH-WHY do they they not get someone with a bit of flair & better ideas to design the title character - that bio mask is AWFUL (YMMV). I mean - consider how popular the Pred designs for P1, P2 and AVP-R are, compared to any other movie designs. The look of the titular character is incredibly important. Without that, you immediately miss a "WOW!" opportunity and get "meh!" instead.

Still, early days yet - could have just been a badly put together teaser Image

It's a crap fest. Can you hear the A Team theme song being played in your head while watching the trailer. I can almost hear a Predator saying, "I pity the fool."

DenOfGeek have finally been allowed to post about their April 2017 on-set visit in Vancouver (just 20 minutes down the road from me :) ).

If you know NOTHING about the plot, and don't want to . . . don't click on the link.

However - there's no major spoilers here.

Looking at the cast, I'm rooting for the Predator.

Yeah - there's a few in there I'd like to see killed off in the first 5 minutes

Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key & Munn top that list :)

A couple of dodgy copies of a second trailer surfaced yesterday.

Filmed off TV - apparently aired during the NBA finals (whatever they are).

This makes it look TONS better (yay).

THIS one is well edited, AND gives an insight into the action/intensity instead of focusing on the kid.

2 sources (2 different recordings) in case they get taken down:

. . . and we proudly sadly present . . . Iron predator (AKA "Guardians of the Predator", AKA "Wakanda Pred").

OMG.

 • . . . and with SO many talented fan designs (and Narin!) out there to inspire them.
WAY too high-tech/disco in design.

No excuse - this is pretty poor.

What I read you can read for yourself on wiki...
This movie might explain where berserker predators came from in predators...
Nostalgia can be a bad thing, especially when you are led by it.

Don't know either way about that scuzz - I've avoided general forum discussions & wiki stuff.

Probably shouldn't have watched the trailers either but couldn't help myself

Short behind-the-scenes featurette - no new scenes but VERY encouraging interviews with various cast members who obviously REALLY gelled with one-another.

The link BELOW that made me smile too - seems like they are ALL fans of Jacob Tremblay :)

The more I look at stuff, the more I'm starting to suspect the "fugitive" Pred may be Female :-k Image

There's plenty of others with the same thought too.

The whole design just has a feminine "feel" to it.

There has never been a female Pred in ANY of the movies so far released.

Maybe I'm missunderstanding you?
