WF Earlybird
Just curious. Having attended Wonderfest these many years I've seen Earlybird ticket price progressively increase. I've always felt it was worth it. You will find that extra 2 hours can be very rewarding. I could justify the extra ticket cost with great finds and buys. But now at $65 I'm not so sure.
How do you guys feel about rising rate of Earlybird admission? Is it still worth it? Again, just curious.

I believe it is the show entrance that has increased, not the Early Bird. $45 for 2-day tickets and $65 with the early bird is still only $20 more than the normal tickets.

Re: WF Earlybird
I would say, it depends on what you are shopping for.
If you are hoping to get a kit that will probably sell out, then early bird is probably the way to go.

Re: WF Earlybird
I guess it boils down to how much your buying, and how good your luck is. Two hours is a big difference! A lot of the new releases will sell out during that time, and some hard-to-find kits will get snatched up. If you're willing to wait a few weeks, you can usually place an order for most of the new releases, and just get them shipped to you. Of course, if you're buying a lot of kits, or live somewhere with high shipping rates, then it won't take too long for the shipping costs to exceed the extra $20 it costs to get in early. For the hard-to-find stuff, it's just luck. Maybe it'll be there after two hours, maybe it won't? Personally, I think it's still worth it. For the reasons stated above, and for the ease of moving around the room with a smaller crowd. Plus you get your shopping done early, and have the rest of the day to enjoy the event.

While I can't speak to other vendors, both Marc (Filmy) and I routinely sell out of premier kits WELL before General Admission begins, and I suspect that this year will be no different.
Speaking strictly for myself, if I wasn't a vendor I would spring for the EB Admission just so that I would have first crack to walk around the room and snatch up anything that caught my eye early, and spend most of the rest of the day partaking in the various seminars and what not at the show.

Although I can't speak for Marc, I've worked with him at his table for many years; and will be again this year, and what Jesse says is 100% accurate.Jesse321 wrote:While I can't speak to other vendors, both Marc (Filmy) and I routinely sell out of premier kits WELL before General Admission begins, and I suspect that this year will be no different.

And I'd never thought of the part about getting your "shopping" out of the way and being able to attend seminars...that's a really good point as well.

That's a very good point. I've missed a few great seminars going back and forth into the vendors room. As for the Earlybird, I'll continue to go that route. Always have. I just posing the question to get other's thoughts and opinions. Looking forward to the show and wouldn't miss it.
