Deadwood: The Movie

#1 Post by Scott M »

"Deadwood" ranks for me as one of the greatest cable series ever produced. It ended prematurely but went out on top, unlike so many other series that start out excellent but decline in quality over the long run because they are victims of their own success. Very much looking forward the movie, which seeks to sum things up, so to speak. As someone whose family has suffered from the reverberations of Alzheimer's, I am sorry to read that writer/producer David Milch is suffering from the disease, and not surprised that one of his most vivid characters may be suffering from it too.

I think a movie wrap up would be great. As usual, HBO dropped the ball mid court. They did the same with ROME.

Yeah. I can't remember why they didn't keep going with the series.
It was popular as all hell, and the critics liked it too.

Looking forward to it! I only hope they stay true to the original series, and keep up the same level of intensity.
