Kitman youtube of wonderfest

#1 Post by scuzzfink85 »

It was one best videos of the show..
I noticed more things a few empty tables .. at least three?
Jayco already announced we would not be there.
Anyways I seen more than prior videos I seen two things I wanted
A nestor the wonderfester in box yellow illustration
And jimmy legs.. by randy bowen..
As for dealers Jimmy flinstone brings everything
I seen Dimensional designs Needfull things most producers here.
It was nice to see the show.. Some people looked real bored
maybe they were tired.?
The model contest room was amazing..
Star trek model somebody customized with lights and
3 shuttle decks was inspiring ..
It was huge..

The one thing that was weird was pig like creature wearing a hat?
It think it was made of gel latex? it looked like something out of men in black.

Was Gordy Dutt? there I seen a guy with a white beard and white hair
that looked familiar too me who was dealer.
It was great looking show..
By the way anybody have nestor the wonderfestor pm
Alot sellers had alot screamin stuff seems like nobody wants it..
Especially missing parts from what alternative images has bunch after
factory closed.. It's shame I still enjoy old screamin models.

I didn't see any "bored" people. Maybe in shock from seeing so many amazing models. Many sad because they did not have that extra million $$$ they needed to fulfill their shopping desires. Dreaming about what they would work on and enter next year, absolutely. Fatigued yes, because they stayed up way later hanging out with pals than they should have. (Nah, they should have stayed up with their pals). But bored? Nope, no way. In short, they were under the spell of the Wonderfestor.

I do know some of the vendors were a little of both (fatigued, and bored) on Sunday.
Especially during the awards ceremony when there was very low traffic in the room.

But, you are going to have that towards the end of the show.

I noticed a rather nice Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) bust on display on one of the vendor tables. Does anybody know the producer?

This isn't a slight on WF or the staff at all, but I really think that the convention that was there before WF threw the whole show off kilter a little.

That being said, this year was BY FAR our best year ever sales wise by a country mile, and I personally talked to several vendors who said the same thing.

We sold out of just about everything, and those that know me know I'm not one that takes 2 or 3 of each kit, I take everything I have, because why lose the opportunity of a sale right then and there. Trust me when I tell you, the attendees that were there, were there to buy. We sold a truck load of kits on Saturday, including 3 complete sets of the Halloween Nightmares series (that's 7 kits per set), and I got orders for 2 more after the show.

On Sunday folks came back to our tables for paint, brushes, airbrushes and other supplies. Not to put a finer point on it, but in the nearly 10 years that I've been selling paint, this is first year that I actually ran out of colors. That NEVER happens to me, because I know that some of our clients prefer to stock up for the year at WF, rather than order online, so I prepare for that and stock up accordingly.

Those vendors that bowed out ... they lost out on a great show.

Personally, I think the "fatigued" part is simply because we're all getting up there in years, it takes a little more effort, and exacts a little more of a toll each year we do this.

But "bored" ... sorry not seeing it ,,, at least not at our tables, or from my vantage point.
