The Black Beast of Arrrggghhh

#1 Post by kevtk135 »

In all the years of watching Monty Python & the Holy Grail, I never paid attention to the dialog to know that the monster had a name. Odder still that it's not black. LOL

It's just a 50/50 mix of SS and SS Medium over an aluminum foil armature. The eyes are from MoreZmore. Have no idea what the scale would be. Thanks for looking.

Very cool. RUN AWAY!!! RUN AWAY!!!
Helena is here at hand;
And the youth, mistook by me,
Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?
Lord, what fools these mortals be! -Puck

Thanks guys! LMAO glad I didn't have "the big one" also. LMAO

Carl: I don't know whats going on with my phone camera. I can't get things to look like how they are. In person this paintup is a lot less "glow in the dark." I'm going to have to break down and get a camera for my models I guess.

OK. Now comes the critique: Why is his top middle tooth missing? It wasn't missing in the film.

You know what? I was going to say "Oh, yes it was missing..." as I saw this pic, I guess, first. Next to it was a guy showing a tattoo of the Beast with the same tooth missing on his tattoo.

But looking again thats the only pic, and it's not missing in the movie either. Dammitt.
No biggie, I can go back with some Aves and fix that... Thanks for having me take another look.

It'll be easier for you to fix the sculpt than it will be for the fella to fix the tattoo :)

Really cool.

There really needs to be a kit of this subject available.

Can't get enough of Monty Python. Wish the wife felt the same (sigh).

Great job on this - really enjoyed it.

Haha Oh man, when he finds out he's really gonna be pissed.
Me? except for a little paint he's fixed. ;)

I don't remember seeing a lot of Monty Python stuff. I guess maybe the topic is too old for GK models? (shrug) But IMHO the Holy Grail alone could supply quite a few figures.

Overspray: I'm the same can't get enuff. And with my Dad from Ireland - close enuff to England to have that dry, smart assed, sarcastic wit- I enjoyed the show and movies very much.

Nice (and fast!) fix Kev.

Too old my ass! - there are DOZENS of characters from the movies AND TV show I'd LOVE to get - especially as smaller scale (and therefore cheaper) busts.

That rabbit would be top of my list - we have a large white rabbit we've nicknamed "destructobunny" because of the mischief she gets up to and the damage she causes.

I'd love a few optional add-on heads and/or skulls (done in a cartoony style) at the foot of the base - Predator, Alien, Wolverine, Arnie . . . . the list could go on. I'll commission someone to do that one day.

Guess it was inspired by these: .

Nicely done.
By the way, I always went with the theory that they meant the Camaaaaaargue.
I'm not sloppy - I'm an Impressionist!
