Moebius Mummy Finished

#1 Post by dmorrissette »

Finally finished this shelf of doom sitter. Mummy was easy, most of the work was the base and sarcophagus

Looks great! Nice work. Certainly looks better here than on the "shelf of doom". Love that phrase.

Looks great, detail on the sarcophagus is very nice. What paint did you use for the gold - I'm always looking for a "better" gold and this looks very good

Thanks!

For the Gold, I base coated the sarcophagus with Tamiya Gloss Black thinned with lacquer thinner and polished a little. I used Vallejo Metal Colors gold and Alclad Pale Gold

Great work, the details and metallics on the sarcophagus are excellent, that must have taken a while

Seeing your build, I'm tempted to track one of these down. Having built this yourself would you recommend it?
Looks like it would be quite a large kit, roughly how tall / wide is it?

Cheers,
Paul

Its a lot cheaper than the old Janus kit but still rare. Yes, it is large- about 12" wide by 6" deep and a good foot high. Fit is great though

Sweet! It’s nice to see one of these completed.
