Season 2 started 2 weeks ago, and it's taken this long to get "in the groove".

This weeks (S02E03) was superb. A couple of "easter eggs" for SOA fans, and another "Happy" ending.

Love the characters and the writing. I hope this keeps going for multiple seasons (per Sons Of Anarchy) because there are some great stories that could be told round these folks.

One big downer though - they switched-out the opening credits theme music - and it's now some god-awful country/folky travesty . . . an absolute JOKE compared to the awesome original song. The version in season 1 gave me goosebumps, but this one is SO bad that I have to skip through the credits because it spoils the vibe so much

Finished season 1 last night... so had to go and read up here...

1. love how they have an animal throughout certain episodes... coyote, possum, snake etc.

2. sorry, but I chuckle every time Emilio Rivera (Marcus) shows up... all fat and dumpy now! :)

3. never get tired of seeing Edward James Olmos! Love that guy!

4. if it was me, I'd get Mr. Lincoln 'Linc' Potter when he's alone and introduce him to a hole
'south of the border'! hey, they did away with KJ and his boss and nobody seems to find their
absence strange!! I mean, he wiped EZ's record ... so once he's gone whose gonna bug um
anymore?!

5. looking fwd to how they handle the Mom thing... me, I'd bring it up to the table and see
if I cud get some backing. Esp since it's a cross gang thing!

Sez on Hulu that season 3 starts March 17th... so I get to watch two more seasons back to
back! Love it!!

Fixed that for ya :)

Yeah - looking forward to this.

I stopped posting on the thread because it seemed no-one else here was interested - good to see someone else on-board.

1/2 thru season 2...

little confused though! Did I miss the 'fire' that explains the back
of Miguel Galindo's MOM's head???! Was there a season 2 pilot or
something, cuz I don't remember any fire in season 1!!

It's like, Yo, just keep up already, shippie and I'm like well hopefully
they'll back story this!! She does explain to Felipe how she hid in the
wine cellar... but is just strange seeing her SUDDENLY in that wig and the
back of her head all burnt in the early season2 eps and you'll like ...huhhhhhh? Wha??!

If I remember right (it's a while since I watched S01 & S02) they talk about the fire later in season 2.

It happened years prior to the time period we are seeing, so she has "always" had the wig from our perspective.

yeah, it's more kinda back storied... cuz in season 1 her hair was very
short and boyish and nothing but hair was there. so the fire had to have
happened btwn the 2 seasons.

finished s2 last nite and enjoyed it! will wait for s3 to complete so I
can stream them all at my leisure!

Did some research and it looks like you may be right.

It seems to have confused a lot of people, not just you & me (although we're old and admittedly forget things  ).

Trailer for Season 3 is up  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW5uBPniHRs (March 16th is a 2-episode premiere)

. . .and I'll be watching (and maybe posting) as each episode is released - so (even though I try not to spoil anything) you may want to skip the thread for a while bud

No problem... the tricky part will be distancing myself from the urge to watch it weekly!!! :)

3 episodes down in Season 3 . . . time for a quick summary.

As is standard for this franchise - VERY intense. There’s a palpable sense of impending doom/danger for the good (bad) guys throughout – like “Oh – THIS is NOT going to go well!” :look:

Some characters have changed behaviour (drastically!), and the first couple of episodes took a while to find their feet with the new production team.

The all-new opening credits are depressing as ****, and there’s been some rather disturbing scenes in each episode.

However, there’s also been some great music choices for some of the set pieces (Motörhead’s “Killed By Death” in the S03E01 bar scene certainly didn’t hurt any :D )

So far so good. It’s still got that “must watch” vibe for me.

Side note – geezus the fella that plays EZ (J. D. Pardo) has always been solid – but he’s been working out big time – he’s built like a friggin’ TANK now!

will come back... haven't seen ep3 yet. (is Miquel losing it, or what??!!)

btw, wasn't going to watch til the season was done... but I got THOROUGHLY
mind fooled when I saw ep 1 up there and also ep 2 and thought, "YAY! They
put the whole season on at once!!" only to see what they actually did!

Those tricky little #$@! lol

Yarp - per my previous answer - because what happened in S03E05 was a lot more fun :D

I didn't catch that at the time, but it dawned on me about 5 minutes later

Maybe they'll explain it (or not - 'cos . . . house burning down).

Also - did NOT like the "John Denver" bit - there be bad peoples!

S03E06 - "You Can't Pray a Lie"
    • S03E07 - "What Comes of Handlin' Snakeskin"

Suitably uncomfortable - which I guess is the idea.

Loved the addition of Bachman-Turner Overdrive's "Let It Ride" 25mins into E07 :jam: :jam: :jam:

Ah - trust - easily destroyed.

Did not like what happened to our friendly lil' Prospect. Mean peoples. Quite happy at what happened to (some of) the (bad) bad guys.

I can't remember what EZ had on the cop, but regardless, I couldn't figure out how EZ knew where the car was going to pull up (he didn't seem to be following?) So I checked the author & director credits, but these folks had NOTHING to do with "Godzilla vs. Kong" so maybe there's a "things happen that make no sense" scriptwriters virus going round? Image

"F***in' existential biker bullshit" - LMAO :D
