I’ve dropped the ball over the last 3 months as regards significant anniversaries of albums that mean a LOT to the rock community (and to me).
Maybe no-one else here feels the same, but I felt guilty that I hadn’t got off my arse and taken the time to add them to this thread.
There will be 5 posts in total – dated August 1976 (45 years ago), 2 from July 1982 (40 years ago), 1 from Sept 1982 (40 years ago) and 1 from July 1987 (35 years ago) . . . watch this space
Well-dodgy sound since the closeness to the amps was blowing out the baffles on the recorders phone, but still captures the energy really well. Love it
Man, he still sounds amazing (when not doing new Maiden material)
RE: "'Perfect Strangers" . . . great voice - wasted on an average track.
(* unlike his delivery on the latest Maiden album - (mostly) great voice on (mostly) amazing material *)
PS: His "one man show" tickets for Vancouver went on sale last Friday - sold out within an hour - I found out about the gig on Sunday. Much foul language was heard around the Campbell household!

And I think I might like it better than the original version.

Haven't listened yet as I'm juggling client asks - but will later today.
Love both versions (if I ignore the god-awful video for the original).
This has a great "western" feel to it - great guitar work and DAMN those soaring vocals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So much talent in 1 band. If these folks had been around in the 1980's they would be bigger than almost anybody in rock history (and deserve to be NOW anyways!)

I like the song.
I might be going to see Bruce's show. Not sure.
The day it was announced, my daughter asked me which one I was considering. (he is coming to Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Cleveland). I told her, and we vaguely discussed logistics. Since then, neither one of us has mentioned it again. So I don't know if she is getting me a ticket as an xmas gift or not.
