Re: KONG "Up Top" 2.0 (or ... OH NO HE DIDN'T!!!)
Well...I said there would be a BLIZZARD of updates this weekend, didn't I? Here comes another one ...
After gluing in the colored panels and stepping back to have a look, a feeling of DREAD came over me ... the "alternating color pattern" (refer to the last photo in my last post) was giving my brain a "fragmented" and unsettling feeling ...
Nothing to do but pry the 8 middle panels off and switch them around ... fearing that if glue had gotten to the painted back side, it would be torn off (it happened when I first removed the middle panels to try switching the pattern, and I had to paint new panels from scratch ) ...
... except that THIS time I had only put a speck of glue on the top and bottom of each panel ... oh yes, I am indeed a ....
NONE of the paint had come off ... so it was a simple matter of scraping off the glue from the ends, re-applying it, and re-inserting the panes to recreate the solid pattern (WHEW!) ... more to come ... (Edit: Damn. I just realized this darn thing looks like a freakin-rocket! No matter - ITS DONE!!! 4 intense months of insanity ... finished!!! "New, improved" 'bash photos to follow ...
