Vampirella Jose Gonzalez X-Plus Build-up

#1 Post by harpooner54 »

This is one of the best styrene figure kits that I have built, mainly because of the sculpting & the way the parts are
engineered to fit. That being said, there are still seams to deal with, but the parts fit pretty tight. Aves putty &
Bondo glazing putty helped to smooth things out. Pretty much a straight forward build, the only modifications
were to dremel the eye sockets deeper on the base skulls (the detail is a little soft) & adding broken plaster to the
base to make the groundwork a little more detailed. The kit is very accurate to the reference artwork.

Absolutely amazing. The detail on the kit and the crispness of your paint.

As is always the case - truly stunning work.

I really don't know anyone who can paint the female form as beautifully as you do (and the rest isn't too shabby either!)

TOP F-ing NOTCH! Wonderful work, David!!!

The metallic red costume is sharp. Great variance to the norm. I was thinking of that for the Needful Things Vampi (by Roberto) costume.

Heavy Metal Spike- Thank you!

gordman43- I appreciate the comments! The metallic red is more shiny than red satin, but that is the look I was going for & I like the contrast with the flesh.
