That new girl on the beach…

#1 Post by sparkvark007 »

No one knows her name. =P~

My concept on this build was to attempt a render of a cute, fair skinned, freckled “ginger”(no disrespect intended) in a thin wet bikini. She is 1/6 scale. An old vinyl :( anime kit that I had on the shelf that I converted with a new Atelier resin head replacement.

Image Image

I rearranged the hair pieces on the head to create an asymmetric styling with a color sculpted sidecut to give her a youthful contemporary look.

My biggest challenge was the step of adding some accurate looking freckles. After sealing the near-completed figure with a couple of coats of clear overcoat, I applied an airbrushed mixture of reddish-brown alcohol ink. If the freckles didn’t look right, I could wipe them off with water. But with careful application I was able to get it right on the first go round. \:D/
I then used wet cotton swabs to remove the ink from the wet-look bikini parts and then resealed the whole figure again.

The surfboard is cut and shaped out of white plex with custom decal art. The various jewelry add-ons are from the scrap-box.

Thanks for look'n...
Cheers! 8)

Beautiful work.
Helena is here at hand;
And the youth, mistook by me,
Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?
