Annubis Warriors

#1 Post by KathyD »

First finished kits of the year, although I have been working on them for a while. I got one of these from Jimmy Flintstone at a Wonderfest many moons ago and he was missing an arm, which they said they'd send onto me. In the end they sent another full kit...

Building these was not without its challenges, particularly lining up to drill through -white metal - hands for the weapons. I've painted them as brothers, not twins although the differences are probably too subtle to come over in photos.

Agreed. Those metalics look great. Good shine, but not too shiny. Nice and smooth.
The figures look good too.
Very interesting and unusual pieces.

thank you for the kind comments,

For the metallics, I've found that DarkStar Molten Metals Brass makes a very good gold... And I also experimented with some gold shimmer power that's intended for acrylic nails. Interesting outcome and something I'll try again :)

Great work Kathy.

Love the idea of pairing these up - especially at that angle.
