I am way behind schedule where I wanted to be by now
I will lucky to have 5 done versus the 8 I had hoped for ….
But I guess quality over quantity should be the goal …

I hear you.
Just finished my 3rd. I have another real close, and another that should finish no problem.
Two others that might get done, and one more that is probably a long shot.

So, I will have 5-8 realistically.
Still shooting for 10, but we will see.

Status as of April 21, 2024.

5 Completed

1 In Progress about 80% complete

I had hoped to complete 8, but I will most likely only have 6 completed.
And I will probably only bring 5 of the 6 as one of them is just a man-thing kit built with no bashing, so I will onky bring the 5 kitbashes as they are more interesting ; plus they are all pretty big and will be difficult enough to transport.

I am not posting pics of the completed kits in this thread as many pics are available in the Kustomizers section of the clubhouse.
If any of my entries win medals, I will start a new thread in this section for people to post pics of their winning entries.

Good luck to all of you in completing your entries and in the contest !

Still working to get my last entry finished …pressure is on…but trying not to rush and mess it up

I plan to bring a total of 5 entries, but one of the entry’s is composed of 2 figures , so actually bringing a total of 6 kit-bashes.

Not in a panic, but still plugging away.
The one I definitely want done is just at the point of finishing the eyes, so that isn't a problem.

I was going to wrap up and not do any modeling this weekend and just pack, but life got in the way. Having to pull out our dishwasher and install a new one, as well as put in the 3 window air conditioners limited my modeling time through the week. Then at work on Friday, I got the brilliant idea to finish one more kit for the show
I mean, it was already in progress, but has been sitting there neglected at about half done while I concentrated on the bigger projects I was more excited about. The base was just primer, and a few other parts weren't even at that point. But I decided to fast track it and add it to the pile going to the show.

So, I will have 8, possibly 9 entries.

Status as of Monday, May 27

Completed: 5 entries with a total of 6 kit-bashed models.

4 of the entries are boxed up and ready to go.
One is too big for a box so I will just lay it on some soft blankets for the 9 hour drive.

I am very happy to be done with my entries, and really looking forward to seeing many truly incredible build ups at the show.

Good luck to everyone who is entering kits in the contest!

I have 9 done, and not one of them are packed yet :shocked2:

Nothing is packed yet.
The car isn't cleaned out yet. I haven't checked the fluids in the car yet.
I did just do my entry forms. They are on a thumb drive. I will stop at the library tomorrow and print them.
I also have to run two towns over to get something for my daughter. I still have to buy some snacks for the weekend. I still have to cash in my change for extra spending money.

In other words, I still have a lot to do in the next two days.

Sounds like the last time I took the girlfriend and her kids camping...

Wait a second. I'm not supposed to talk about that. Nevermind.

yes, indeed. It's like he fell apart because of exposure to Red Kryptionite! Even found some paint mistakes I'd need to cover up too. I want to take my time to repair it after restoring it in the first place. Still bringing my Metropolis diorama.
