Brother Zachary

#1 Post by KelE »

The head was done in Monster Clay medium--my first use of it. I am using the hardest grade next.

I custom made the base and only the name plate I did in clay.

That looks really great KelE! Very good likeness (if memory serves). What did you use for the cape, if I may ask?

Thanks. I decided to just make the head (without mutant makeup) and then fabricate the rest from odds and ends. It's a piece of brown fabric spray painted black and then with a little silver spray sprinkle to it because in the movie the Family has different kinds of robes and his has a shiny speckled surface to it.

That is awesome! Love that movie and you nailed Lincoln Kilpatrick looking up at that honkey paradise.

Great work !

I really need to watch that movie again - it's been a LONG time.

I did a new version of it in clay.

I am now doing a Zerbe head so you can guess what is in the pipeline (a Harry O tribute?).

Thanks. These were two of the last clay-made heads I was satisfied with (I did Vincent Price after them but wasn't happy with the scale of those until I redid them in digital).

Recently I got enthusiastic "like" icons for the Brother Zachary statue from a Kilpatrick on my Facebook page.
Given the surname, I am assuming she is a "family" relation of the actor!
