bust size

#1 Post by Mitchman »

Hello,I do not know how to ask this: best bust size for resin kit? 3 inches? 5 inches? 8 inches? i know some older kits where pretty big. seems like the smaller the harder to paint? yes? no? doing research seems like a starter resin bust is around 3-5 inches? what's the "go to"

Eye of the beholder type thing. Personally I like the 4-6 inch.

I generally like things about 1/4 or 1/3 scale busts.
As for difficultly to size, that all depends on your skills and comfort level.
Smaller busts have the challenge of lots of small things to try to paint precisely.
While larger busts have the challenge of really having to render things much more realistically.
The closer you get to 1:1 the more it has to look real.

Hairy stick or AB. Usually a combo of both. Depends on the details etc.
