I concur! Nothin wrong with Blondie! I was allways impressed with the lyrics. Like "Fade Away and Radiate." or "Shayla" Cool band from back in the day!Scott M wrote:Blondie's under-rated in my opinion. Especially the earlier stuff - "Hangin' on The Telephone", "One Way or Another"- and there ain't nothin' fruity about Debra Harry.

WAY too many!! got me one of those iPod dealies recently, so I'm in the process of ripping all my cds ... been finding ALL kinds of stuff that's gone unlistned to for way too long!!! had the playback option on .. it's been a some time since I listened to "Sandinista" straight through!! what a trip, and what a (fun) chore to convert all that stuff ...

I belong to emusic.com and I get 90 downloads a month for $20, however, when I first joined it was unlimited downloads...
I actually got an e-mail from them one month deeming my downloads overly excessive (2000 songs); I asked them to clarify what they exactly meant by unlimited? 6 months later, they changed their business plan...
Ripping the rest as I get them.

wow! yeah with that many tunes, the random setting would be a blast!!!
I wished I would have started ripping discs in alphabetical order or something ... I'd have a better idea of how many are left .. a little less than half I think, but I have 12GB ripped against the 30GB capacity ..and that took all weekend. Whew!
so ... you're the bastich to blame for the policy change, eh???
I signed up for eMusic not too long ago .. got my 50 free DL's and cancelled. Good for a lot of older, semi - obscure stuff ... it was worth it to finally get another copy of The Replacements Let it Be disc ... lI ost that sucker somewhere along the way.

Thanx fer that info Bat! Been lookin fer a good legal site!Batmaniak wrote:Check them out again. They have been adding new artists like crazy, and a lot of older stuff. Even capping you at 90, your still paying less than $0.25 a song. By far the best (legal) deal going.

Bree Sharp's "Cheap and Evil Girl"
The Donnas' "Take It Off"
Veruca Salt's "Seether"
You see, I'm in the middle of a forensic computer examination and now my firewire drive isn't working. For some reason, the hard rockin', take no s*** songs of young women sooth me...now, where's my hammer?

I've been listening to "The Logical Song" by Supertramp a lot. If you listen to the words, well, it really hits home a bit.
"When I was young, seemed that life was so wonderful....."
But don't take my word for it, listen to the tune and see what I mean.
On another note, I was in the car a little earlier and cruisin' to "I was made for lovin' you" by KISS. 'Orrighttttt..........
Glusniffer - you'd also have to be a fan of "Teddy Bear" by Red Sovine, yes?
Mark M - Nightmoves by Bob Seger - Ahhh, there's my youth haunting me again......

Heard and interesting version of Pink Floyd's The Wall yesterday on the radio.
Not sure, but I think it was Rob Zombie that did it.

cultosaurus would be cool...the GNR appetite would be an awesome wall plaque...the boston guitar/spaceship and the journey scarab would also be fun to paint...

That will help me track it down.
When if first started, I was thinking Manson, as it went on, it had a more Zombie like feel.
But I can see it being Korn.

Hmmm....kits based on Album covers. Glusniffer, you may have hit on something there. I can think of a few from Ozzy O and some of the heavy metal bands (the german heavy metal band Warlock springs to mind - Doro Pesch!) that would make for some creative challenges.
Cool thought.
