Thanx! So I thought I'd go ahead and knock this one out also. https://www.tylisaari.com/prehistoricsc ... /base.html
Assuming Steve made this it looks like he went down the path I'm currently discovering. The leaves are from the swamp trees and the little bushes are from the bird. (b-b-b bird is the word) and they were added to a sculpted base and then molded.
I'm really enjoying the new side hobby. I guess I'm technically a re-caster ? But it's not for profit sooo.

There are two little sunken spots that a couple of rocks fit.I have no idea were they are or if I even got them. They were for adding the full swamp tree. Ohhh lookey what I found..... :P

Fished this base and added it to the table. Gonna go finish an unrelated kit-bash I started earlier this year. 8)

Man, I HATE when I find a good auction and people bid on it for a few days and jack the price up! Don't they know how to snipe one? That's the fun part!

Preaching to the choir brother! Back in the day when I used to be really active on ebay, nothing would drive me up the wall more. I have used a snipe bid system since 2011, with excellent results. 👍💪⚡🪄🎊🎉🥳

Preach it brother!
Also hate it when you find a mis-listed item and think you are gonna get it cheap, and someone goes and posts the auction in a FB group or other discussion.
Directing a bunch of attention to it.

OK. So I have a MAJOR project that I wanted to finish by year's end. Just a few last minute additions from stuff I made myself. 8)

So. 20 years ago in the mid Jeffrozoic era me and my son hopped in the car and drove like hell from Nahsville to Louisville to Wonderfest 2005. Why the big hurry? I learned that the very 1st add-on kit for the Prehistoric Scenes was available and there were only 2 ! :shocked2: I scored the last one. Guess who got the other? I headed home and got to work on this grail! 2 months later my marriage fell through so into a box it went and into limbo............ I made a promise to myself to finish it bythe end of this year so merry x-mas to me. 8)

That looks amazing Jeff.
Better than mine.
One of my goals for 2026 is to repaint mine in a lighter color scheme. (it's only been bugging me since 2007)

Oh, BTW, that wasn't the first add on. That honor goes to the Steg which Mike was producing in the 90's.

My bad. I didn't even know Dave Cockrum did the design for both until years later. So which kit was actually casted 1st and how many? And if I remember right there was a 3rd Para because there one on display? :?

Never could get any definitive answers from Larry on how many parasaurs he produced. And I know he ripped off Jeff Brown on that one. Jeff was supposed to get a cut of all sales and Larry kept telling him it wasn't selling.
I can confirm at least 7 exist. Because I have 6 in the gallery and this one you just finished.
