3rd night's group of repairs.Up way to late ,and have to be at work in 5 hours.

To be fair to them, there's no way those sort of builds would have survived unless they were in individual well-protected boxes (which would have cost even MORE than they did charge you).

Plus I'm guessing they are TOTAL novices when it comes to the fragility of garage kit resin.

Hope the breakages are not TOO bad bro' ?

They had cold cast kits touching the bottom of the box with no padding at all and a bunch of paper on top of some of the boxes.
The Decimator by Bowen was destroyed.The rest ,so far I can fix.poor packing on some of these. The cold cast stuff got the worst of it. Happy to get these though.You can see John's progression in his painting.He was a pretty good painter .
Just as I got all these in ,someone gave me 4 nice glass cases for free.Perfect timing.
Repairing these as I open them.Half way done. Had a huge "to do list" this past week.Nearly done.

• Ouch! Some of their packers were certainly better than others. As I said above, I think they let at least 1 person go as a result of this shambles.

• Absolutely. And I'm not just saying that to be nice.
  
  He REALLY improved over the years - experimenting more, learning as he went. The Gwangi, Rawhead, and both Godzilla deforms (with custom dio bases) I managed to get are really first-class. But that's obvious since all 4 won awards

But what I love, is he never lost that 'care free' painting style he had.

As we've said before in our chats, John LOVED this hobby - and ONE of the ways that REALLY shines through is the sheer volume of output.

Did you realise that since 1999, he ranks at #10 for most awards at Wonderfest?

He had fun, enjoyed what he did, and didn't care if others thought he wasn't "one of the cream". He just continued getting BETTER AND BETTER.

John was a humble guy - NEVER one to put on airs & graces. He is a MASSIVE, IRREPLACEABLE loss to the community, this forum, and EVERYONE he met.

We should all be forever grateful for the part he has played in our lives.

I will NEVER forget him, and will always look back on his friendship and trust with a HUGE smile and eternal gratitude.

I couldn't be happier with the pieces I was lucky enough to win.
