Glusniffer wrote: January 15th, 2026, 2:16 pm Does anyone know if Mike is shutting down? His website has been down for a while and I saw this on e-bay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/255922475568 The last Steg? :?
Doubt that is the last one. When ebay says last one, it's because there were 4 of them listed for that auction. 3 of them have sold, so it is down to the last one for that particular auction.
Not sure what the story is with his website. He might be having technical difficulties. Or maybe he is going to drop the website all together. Maybe most of his sales come from ebay now.
He retired from casting kits years ago. Everything he sells now is cast by others. So he isn't actively promoting anything anymore.

Thanx guys! Getting close to the finish line on this one. Trevor mentioned Jeff's sculpting dedication to the original kits and you see it in this one. Like the Allosaurus,Trike and Spike the articulation for posing is clearly evident.
LOVE this kit! 8)

Yep. I plan on making mine movable when I do finally work on mine.
Just like I did with the protoceratops. (it was helpful of Mike to cast those legs with metal pins in them in that first run)

Nothing as aggravating as snapping a part off so here's a trick I've been using for awhile now. I've been using a 2-part clear resin to re-enforce joints for x-tra strength. Dries super hard over night and a shot of dull-coat covers easily. 8)

I usually just use 2 part epoxy glue.
That, with strategic pins, hasn't let me down yet.

Great job on the Iggy so far!
I hate when parts break off. Seems to be a regular occurrence with my kits. Never have your kids help you move your models...no matter how old they are!!

So I wasn't really happy with the fit at the neck joint. I mixed up some 2 part sculpt to blend it better. Don't remember where I got the little Trike. Probably from a dollar store bin for one of my kids. Glows in the dark and has some nice detail. 8)

I just shrug my shoulders and get with fixing what broke. (Like yesterday when I accidentally knocked over my Sauroposeidon 1/18 in-progress 'bash while building a drawer shelf on my bench. 12 spikes broke off its back - given that there are about 80 spikes along its neck/back/tail - I got off light!) :rolf: Got half of them glued this AM the rest tonight ... Ignatz is finished! Just had to do some details on the base and let it dry overnight. In the meantime since the bases are so similar I let Anky join the party! 8)

Quick little side project. Been doing some dino math. I never knew the Allo had horny thingy's over the eyes. it was suggested they served no real purpose other than attracting a mate but anyhoos. Also did anyone ever consider casting the drool in clear resin?

Yes. Someone on the FB group did that a few years ago. I have some somewhere but not sure where.
