That is what happened to me in the fall. :(
They were fairly close to me. Unfortunately, it was the same day as an annual get together.
Spending time with old friends I don't see often trumped seeing a band I really wanted to see.

Of course, most of December I got on a kick of watching live Volbeat videos. And I sooooo want to see them even more now.

I started getting into them a little with Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood
'Still Counting' hooked me and got me intrigued.
'We' kept me interested.
And every album since then has just reeled me in further and further.

Latest news on the new Scorps album - http://bravewords.com/news/scorpions-la ... ever-album

Due February - and supposed to be reworked UNUSED songs from their most productive/popular period end of 70's through the 80's.

YouTube link that (currently) works for the 1st track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IT4m1e4Wrac – as far as I'm concerned (even though this is slightly faster than intended for some reason) - TOTAL 80’s sounding – just AMAZING!!!!!!

And an official video with lyrics and great CGI visuals - at the correct speed too!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UALNE6-sjoU
I don't think anyone who was/is a fan could listen to this and say it wouldn't have fitted perfectly on any of the following:
    • • Animal Magnetism (1980)
      • Blackout (1982)
      • Love At First Sting (1984)
      • Savage Amusement (1988)

The golden years relived - totally! Man I LOVE this band! 50 years and still going strong - how many other bands can claim thay have this level of popularity AND are still releasing great new music after that many years?

Cool (me jealous) - not a big fan of lil' Schenker, but I always loved Herman & Francis.

If you like older Scorps - you might like this news about ULI JON ROTH's "Scorpions revisited" DVD/CD - http://bravewords.com/news/uli-jon-roth ... s-revealed

And then click on this trailer for a sample - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TwWb6jCzhE. Picking up at 1:20 - an amazing version of "In Trance" - listen through to the end Bro' - DAMN that guy can sing !!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry bud - I'm surprised - Canada/USA don't get segregated that often on YouTube.

You could use my earlier link for the unofficial (non-VEVO) version (though it's slightly speeded up), or hang on a couple of days and copies will crop up

From the end of the video . . . (star points join to form the picture) . . .

No problem Spike.
It's just that the whole delaying and restricting music/movie vids from different countries really annoys me. Especially since everybody knows (including them) that somebody is just going to re-upload it somewhere without the restriction. Probably in better quality too.
Oh well..

Here's a band I found recently with a 70's Sabbath type of sound called The Sword out of Houston.
You can hear a couple of other influences as well. Quality old school metal.
