I agree, the yellow areas were a paint, especially touchup. Since it's supposed to be George Reeves, I painted the cape S with the red areas. Never done the chip method. Have to try that sometime. Keep us posted.
I sort of did an amalgamation of the comics and George Reeves with the color choices.
I considered doing he cape's 'S' in red but preferred the comic version and the Christopher Reeve film version.

Down to the final stretch of this restoration.
Assembly is pretty much all that remains.
I painted the brick work in, well, brick colors... The steel girders were coated with chipping medium after the orange rust and before the metallic colors. Since this was my first experience with this technique I think it went okay. I had to apply a fair amount of pressure on the makeup cotton swab to get the metallic colors to start lifting away from the kit. I wet the area first but still had to work harder than I thought I would need to. Maybe I should have used a tooth pick and gently scratched the surface, but I didn't want to scrape away all the undercoats.
The floor got a typical two-tone grey tile treatment and then I applied some MIG pigments to the area in front of and behind the wall to create some brick rubble and dust.
As I say, assembly is essentially all that remains.

Ive really been enjoying this thread! Loving your progress and input regarding an old Glue-Bomb! Restoring old kits are even more challenging as a new kit! That base is STELLAR!
