I really liked Steve’s idea having this Cyrog facing against a Hydra with some of the heads chopped off.

However, the Hydra kit that I have seems just a bit too small relative to the Cyrog.

So, plan to create a 2 headed Hydra-like creature using Hydra tail (left over from Cthulhu kit bash) and 2 red dragon of krynn neck/heads.
One of the heads will be chopped off and other head will be screaming .
Gotta slim down the red dragon necks, and add better teeth and horns to the dragon heads.

Heads are too big for Hydra body.. maybe use something else.

You were right Scuzz. I slimmed down the neck but proportions were not right.

Not sure what to do now as I want some kind of vignette scene where he has used his axe on something …

Another option is just a basic standoff scene between these two , and make their 2 bases connect
(And no, not going to leave his arm off , laying on the ground like in this pic)

Cutting up Hydra and will modify and reposition it for fight with Cyrog.
I will not put the wings back on in order to leave it more as a Hydra.
If you look past the factory paint job, the Hydra sculpt and details are actually very good

The Cyrog's looking great. WADR I don't think the McFarland hydra is going to the job either. It's just not large and intimidating enough. I guess I pictured a hydra of the scale of MIM's Golden Fleece or Saturn's Guardian of the Fleece hydras. But maybe after one of your famous repositioning jobs the McFarland will do the trick! Prove me wrong (again!).

The Hydra's heads are the perfect size ... and I am CERTAIN that Joe has an ... appropriate body in mind to graft them onto ... oh this is gonna be GOOD!!!

Thanks guys for the feedback and ideas regarding what creature to pair this guy with. Not sure yet what to do.

Scuzz , actually one of my very first kit bashes was a commando mutant with an alien queen head ; to create an alien king. I ended up hacking that bash up as I needed the alien head for the mer-alien bash you also recently mentioned . Still on the list to finish one-day.

Continuing to just block in some base colors .
