Hugo Drax Passes Over

#1 Post by Cous3 »

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell our community of the sudden passing over of one of the hobbies biggest supporters aka Mark McGowan.

Mark was a true gent with a big big heart and everyone who met this big Irishman would always remember him. His sense of humour, his stories, his cheeky laugh, all rubbed off on you when sharing a pint and having a laugh, Mark did enjoy the craic.

I will miss this big guy, we had made arrangements to spend 3 days together for this years UKGK show, I'm still a bit shocked by it all so will leave it there. One thing I do know is that the world is a poorer place now he's not in it.

Mark and I at last years show.

This is very sad news, I'm shocked to hear it.
We'd talked on occasions, nearly always about our mutual interest in Bond.

Please pass on my condolences to his family if you get the chance.

Deepest sympathy.

Oh man, I can't believe this. What a loss. He was every sense of the word a "Gentleman". I am very sad now about this. I just spoke with him recently just checking in with me. This guy really loved the hobby. So sad.

See you on the other side big guy.

I'm so shocked to read this. Mark was a kind gentleman on the boards. He was passionate about his gks weather it be bond or jaws. we have lost a great guy and fellow modeler. Please pass my condolences to the family Keith. Mark you will be missed my friend. I wish we could have met in person. We had a few good conversations and you were An A1 customer. I will raise a glass for you at wonderfest.

This one hits hard. Truly. Mark's one of the best guys I encountered in this community and I hoped I'd get a chance to meet him in person one day. I'll remember him fondly the rest of my life, really.

Thanks, Keith, for passing along the news.

Oh man. This is a shock.

Please pass my condolences to his family.

I didn't know him well, but he's been a really helpful and great member here for many years.
