I saw the first episode and liked it a lot more than I expected.

The first episode exceeded my expectations, much to my delight. I even watched it twice.

I think the characters are well thought out and every thing is in place to tell a compelling story. From what I read on Wiki there were three books so hopefully it will be a nice long ride.

I watched it cold, after just seeing a few teasers on FX. I was very happy to see Corey Stoll in the lead role since he was so good in the first season of House of Cards. But how the heck did he get so much hair?! Is that a wig?

I have the first two books, this will be a great miniseries.
These aren't what most think of when you think of classic legendary vampires, but more like those of I Am Legend only with higher brain function. The classic elements remain, but with some psuedo-scientific explanation of whats going on and why.

I hope they kept the Masked Luchadore in this, he made the story telling come alive on a whole other level.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but ended up liking it quite a bit. The one kill scene in the airport storage hanger was about as graphic as any I've ever seen on non-cable television. It has at least 3 or 4 interesting characters and the writing was good...so, I'm most likely in for the full season.

They can't get rid of him, without giving any spoilers to those who have not read the book his bit in the story is one of my favorite things ever. 8) 8)

Like the Game of Thrones books I received the Strain books as gifts. I'd intended to look for the third book but now I think I'll wait till the TV series plays out.

Just finished the second episode and totally enjoyed the way things are unfolding.
We are now getting to meet some new characters that may or may not play a role.
Found this article ....the are only doing 5 seasons.

Okay, since a lot of folks haven't actually watched the first couple of episodes, what I'm about to write would be sort of spoiler-ish. I'm going down a bit to write it...

Did anybody catch the name of the JFK official who got whacked pretty gruesomely in the first episode? Peter Bishop. At first I thought, "Oh, they alluded to a character in Fringe." Then I started thinking... was that a sly backhand to JJ Abrams? Naming a character after major character in one of Abrams's shows and then smashing his brains all over the place?!

You'll find lots of references to other things in the show. Lost being a big one with Carlton's involvement.

Keep watching. Gotta get the character intros out of the way. It gets better...

Every episode is getting more and more amped up.
What an amazing job with the make up and Efx.
Loving the show as it is without knowing the source material

I am surprised that this show is not getting the Buzz over here.
The story ,the plot are all top notch.
The way this is playing out is fantastic. The pace of the way the story is unfolding
is that there is no down time in any episodes.
I think that most of the major players have been introduced this past weekend things will unfold much faster.
For those that watch or read the book, I am enjoying the flashback sequences btwn the "2" main characters.
The Hatred runs deep

We're watching it here and really enjoying it. I confess that I've read the first run of the comic version, but like Walking Dead, there is enough difference to make the TV version a "standalone" product.
