Zotz... Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

#1 Post by saulcuba66 »

In 1920 Paramount films released the movie version of Robert Louis Stevenson's novel of "The Strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde".
In the leading dual role of Jekyll and Hyde was the Iconic silent film star John Barrymore.
To honor this great film Garage kit company "Zotz" hired the incredibly talented Jeff Yagher.
Jeff captured the scene after Dr. Jekyll transforms to his alter ego Mr. Hyde.
The likeness on this 1/6 scale resin figure is dead on to the character and the castings were near perfect. I want to thank Eli of "Zotz" for giving me the honor of painting this beauty.
Thanks for looking.

WOW! This is incredible. Every detail is perfect and the over-all effect is phenomenal.

Love, love, love, that silk robe. It very realistic. The shirt and pants are impeccable too. Jekyll/Hyde is very impressive too. You've captured that look of awe and wonder - and bit of fright in there too. Excellent table, book and skull too, but he is the stand-out for sure.

An extraordinary build.

Holy crap!
That robe is just mind blowing.
I'd comment about the rest of the kit, but I just can't take my eyes off that robe long enough to really take in all the other details.

So many excellent areas on this piece. Yes, the robe(smoking jacket) is incredible, and the skin tones and shading around the eyes and on the shirt. Also the wood table looks great too. All around one of your best... and you always do really excellent work!! Thanks for the inspiration Saul!! 8)
