WINGS - Tony McVey

#1 Post by dklange »

I first saw this sculpt by Tony McVey when I painted one for a client a few months ago. I really liked it and contacted Tony to see if I might be able to get one. He had this one left in his workshop... it had primer on it because he was going to finish it, but he was willing to sell it to me. I asked him to sign the bottom of the base and bought it. So, here it is all finished...

Beautiful work, Denis.
I love all of Tony's work but this one really stands out as one of his best.

Love it. His face is diabolical. Exquisite wings.

One of my favorite kits and a fantastic job on it. Love the wings.

Well, the kit COULD be available, if enough people were to push for it.
From what I understand, Terry at Monsters In Motion, owns the original
sculpture, but hasn't made any announcements as to whether or not he
is planning on reissuing it.

I've made many an inquiry, but nothing yet.

Perhaps a little help from those, like myself, who wouldn't mind getting one?
