#1 Post by Scooke123 »

3 months from today!!! Time is gonna go fast. Raise your hand if you have nothing close yet to enter in the contest?

At this point, I actually have five entries ready to go.
They are all projects that were 95% completed a week before last year's contest. When last minute scheduling conflicts kept me away from my workbench the final week before, I decided the time versus quality ratio would not be in my favor, so I punted  and held them back for this year. Got them all done last summer, so I have a green light for some contest participation this year. :thumb2:

Getting down to the wire.

I leave Thursday morning, and I still haven't packed anything :o
And I still have another 10 hour shift at work tomorrow.

So I think I am going to be kinda busy after work tomorrow.

Of course the a/c compressor in our Honda shot craps and I'm rushing to get it fixed. Was going to leave Friday morning anyway so should be ok if nothing else goes wrong with it. Sucks though - it sure tapped into my available cash for Wonderfest!

I was planning to go, but had to cancel at the last minute. Everybody have fun and take lots of pictures to share with the rest of us!

That reminds me, I should recharge my AC. But I just don't have the energy.
Maybe I will just throw the can and the hose in the trunk and deal with it if it ends up getting hot enough.

I'm stoked to be finally going to WF! It's not how I wanted it to come together--I don't have anything to enter in the contest, and I can't participate in any activities other than discussions and hanging out in the dealers rooms, but I'm really looking forward to finally being there and meeting all my Clubhouse friends!

CALM DOWN. It's only a hobby.

I never finished anything for the contest this year so don't feel too bad. You will find out just cruising the dealer rooms and contest room a lot of time will get used up. You'll wonder where time went and how you missed seeing this or that! You should have plenty of fun.

I'll be leaving here in about half an hour.
Can't wait to see everyone.

And don't feel bad Steven, this is my 2nd year in a row with no contest entries.
The year has been so hectic, I am just looking forward to the down time, and hanging out with fellow modelers.

Have fun to all that are attending and if you are entering the contest, may you bring home gold.
You know it's not a good day when it starts out with, "Hey boss, we've got a weird one for you."
