airbrush compressor water trap?

Using a small Campbell Hausfeld compressor. Need to add a water trap/filter... whats good etc to use? My google search shows some attached to the brush... would rather attach at the compressor...

I have one that's attached to the a/b, never had a problem with it. Also doubles as a nice little handle FWIW

My compressor (Iwata) came with one inline on the air hose. Never had any problems or issues. Are water traps more important in humid climates - any one know?

Yes it really depends on the area but having them both in place couldn't hurt either it's just really what works best for you.

Every professional shop layout I have seen where air tools are used has the water trap as close to the tool end of the line as possible. I have a 20' flex line running from my portable tank to a black pipe riser which is then attached to a wall mounted water trap/regulator next to the spray booth. My airbrush hose taps directly to that wall mounted water trap/regulator. The length of flex line allows for as much condensation to settle in the line as possible in the line before it gets to the riser and trap. I also have a water trap mounted to my compressor in the garage where I fill my tank. I drain the riser monthly and hardly ever have any water in the trap or riser. I sometimes find water condensation in the hose and I drain that at the same time. I've never had issues with water in my airbrush with this setup.
