PIT AND THE PENDULUM - Vincent Price

#1 Post by dklange »

I finished the "Pit and the Pendulum" commission. Added lighting to the cauldron. Overall very pleased!

Very beautiful. Great satiny look on the clothing, with subtle color variation between the garment pieces. The face is really striking! :D

Wow! Now that is what's commonly known here in the UK as 'the dog's undercarriage'! :D

Absolutely beautiful work, capturing Vincent Price in all his malevolent glory. Skin tones are very lifelike and the glowing coals so effective.
I think it was William Paquet on sculpting duties?

Top banana all round!

Cheers,
Paul

Denis, that is outstanding! I too have to admit to my shame that I've had this beauty for ages and have not painted it yet. I remember when tis first was released in 1993-1994 (I'll have to check the date). This was one of the gold standard kits for a likeness. William Paquet really nailed it beautifully as evidenced by it's enduring popularity.
