Too expensive, compared to what?
Tamiya, Freak Flex, Com-Art, Testors and every other 'model' paint brand, are all about the same price as gaming paints.
Face it, all paints are roughly the same price. Sure some might be a little more than others, but they are all in the same ballpark, more or less.
And yeah, all of them cost a lot more than craft paint, but, they also work better than craft paint.
They thin better, they cover better, and the airbrush better than craft paint.
And this is coming from someone who still has a ton of craft paint and still uses it.

You don't get much for the money..
Both made in usa.. There were some some game paints there were complete crap.
Tamyia smells bad got headache with them .. I used them early on..
Then used a different paint..
Never will use a Japanese paint again.

The best way to tell if a paint is good enough to use on your model..
Use finger rub test.. place sample on your first finger
then to try rub it off with your thumb..
If it comes of easy.. then its a cheap paint..
that will rub off your model
