I haven't even really started on my pics yet, let alone web pages, but I wanted to start this thread because Tested has started uploading videos from the show.
Norm was at the show again this year, and was there a lot longer this year.

Thank you Buc!!! I'm in the middle of watching the video by that British guy wayne. Unlike most people, he goes slowly and shows every single thing.

(One of my pet peeves are videos done by people who zoom past things that don't interest THEM personally, but DO interest ME )

There's a simple mistake that many many people videoing shows make. Just because it's video and you can move, doesn't mean you should be moving all the time. It is very very hard to see anything well in a video that is constantly panning and zooming in and out...

The key, as Wayne demonstrates so well, is to pick a subject then stick with it for a few secs with a minor bit of exploration before moving to the next one- and then edit out all the fast panning / stepping around people in between.

The other key point is to check what you are filming - seen a few where the subject is half out of shot, or the background has the focus.

Of course the downside to all this is that it will take you hours to go round something the size of WF....

Though this one is pretty cool. That giant 1:144 Space Battleship Yamato that guy was pushing around the show. It got a little annoying at times with the sound effects and the crowd around him. But it was still really cool to see it.

That is the most impressive thing I've seen from this wonderfest. Spoiler yes I am biased towards all things Yamato related, although of course my preferences is for the original world war II battleship!

It's a shame that they didn't let him enter this in the contest. It was too long? Oh please.

I'd rather see this one ship than any thousand miniatures that I would have needed a microscope to examine!!

Well, then I guess its on him for not contacting them ahead of time. But I guess he didn't really care. Just likes showing it off at shows. And that's OK too....
