Rest in Peace, ROBERT TROCH

#1 Post by bucketfoot-al »

Just saw the news on FB that Robert Troch had passed away, apparently without warning. Photos on his FB page show him smiling and joking around with a friend who visited him last Thursday.

I did not know Robert personally, but I "got to know him" (and vice-versa) through Model Club TV, where we both made appearances in the past few years and on MCTV live streams. I believe that he also may have been behind the "Ghost of Tucky" and "Joker" personas that left numerous voicemails needling Scott and Jason, to their - and everybody's - delight.

Don't know if he was a member of the CH, but a great loss to the modeling community. Rest in Peace and condolences to his wife and family.

I don't think he was a member, but he was very busy within the hobby. Many know him from WF and Gfest.
It is another sad loss to the hobby.

It wasn't a health issue. He was a fitness instructor.

Others who knew him better know the details.

This touches everyone who knew him.

Online accounts this morning stated that he passed away last week as the result of an accident. Tragic. Be careful out there folks.

Very sorry to hear it! I only knew him from MCTV, but he seemed to be a cool guy to pal around with.

Robert always brought unbound enthusiasm to his projects. He didn't just make dioramas, he opened portals to worlds where monsters ruled. As a friend, he had two questions: "How are you doing?" and "What are you working on? "He will be greatly missed.

I think I've figured out that Robert was a Clubhouse member for 20 years. His name here was plyometrics and he was occasionally active until late this summer.

Trevor, if you could add him to the "Gone But Not Forgotten" it would honor his memory and make his posts easy to find. I must have seen his posts (he signed his name on most of them) but I didn't remember he was a member either til Todd found his username.

.

Sad news indeed.

Heard at the time via MCTV, and truly wish I knew Robert better. A great sense-of-humour, a rock fan, a talented modeller, and . . . by every single account & exchange I have read over the years . . . an awesome human-being.

My sincere condolences to everyone who knew him - friends & family alike.
