Yes, the original Die Hard.

Mike Hill sculpted this piece that was produced by Fifth Sense and it shows Bruce Willis as Det. John McClane after he's killed some of the bad guys, grabbed the detonators and a sub-machine gun, and has a gun fight with more of the bad guys who shoot the glass near him to pin him down (he's bare foot).

Progress has been slow on the Die Hard kit for a variety of reasons which I won't go in to..

I have the basic skin color in and have put down the spatter. Washes, and the next skin colors are still to come.

I've also roughed-in the tattoo that John McClane has on his left arm. It will look better once the washes and subsequent skin colors knock it back so that it looks faded and under the skin.

To avoid hijacking this thread, I started a new thread (viewtopic.php?t=126554) that I urge you to read that illustrates what a great guy Derek is.

Getting the skin almost where I want it and a minor adjustment on the tattoo (made the front edge slightly higher)

I think I've finally finished with the skin colors.

Looks better to me now that the hair's been blocked in and the tattoo is faded to my liking.

Hair, eyes, clothing, bag, walkie-talkie, machine gun, and blood are left... that's not too much, is it?

Remarkable job on the skin. I think you've greatly enhanced the likeness to Bruce Willis.

Clothing has been blocked in (still needs weathering and more blood stains)

Starting to look more and more like Det. John McClane.

I opted for a khaki color for the t-shirt since it's filthy by the time he appears in the scene that was sculpted (see reference photo)

Minor update..

The hair's now done as is some of the blood and blood stains.

I've weathered the clothing and added dirt and grime to McClane. The machine gun and walkie talkie are blocked in.

Hoping to put this to bed this week..

Okay, so the only things left to do are adding some additional broken glass, a blood trail, glossing the eyes and a adding a cigarette.

Should have this done tomorrow and final photos on the weekend and my May kit of the month will be done.

Got a little carried away trying to make the Kenwood walkie-talkie as accurate as possible.....
