My Wonderfest contest results over the years

#1 Post by barad_dur »

I have been keeping track of my Wonderfest contest results over all the years that I have attended .

I think that the results below definitely show that continuing to build/paint and try and get better can pay off.

2007: 3 entries, 1 merit , 2 bronze (beginners luck and judging was not as hard back then for sure!)

2009: 5 entries, 5 merits

2011: 7 entries, 7 merits

2023: 9 entries, 2 merits, 5 bronze, 1 silver , 1 gold

2024: 5 entries, 0 merits, 3 bronze, 2 silver , 0 gold

2025: 2 entries, 0 merits, 0 bronze, 1 silver, 1 gold

Totals: 31 entries, 15 merit, 10 bronze, 4 silver, 2 gold

Total percentages : 48% merit, 32% bronze, 13% silver , 6% gold.

Well, speaking as a base-ball fan, your statistics indicate to me that you have progressed from being a strictly "Singles Hitter" in your early career to a "Home Run Pinch Hit Specialist" in your prime (despite the many fewer "at-bats") ...

Well done Joe!!!! =D> =D> =D>

*You may have noticed that I utilized now-antiquated spelling for 'base-ball' and 'home run'. That is purely intentional. :mrgreen2:

Thanks guys !

The 2025 entries are a little deceiving as technically I only had “2” entries, but those 2 included 5 separate figures.

I use shallow shadow boxes to display the bronzes with pics of the given entry; other awards are on a shelf

Is that a Vermathrax bust? Nice collection and a beautiful room to display them in. Your award recognitions are well deserved.

Trek, yes that is a Vermithrax bust. I bashed Bill Wieger bust by lengthening the nose, jaw and horns.

Thank you Jafo and Stormheart !
