Thanks Clubhouse for so many great tips!

#1 Post by Tim Casey »

I use stuff all the time that I learned about here and I never say thank you.

So thank you! I'm working on the Swede Creation's "Nosferatu and Lucy" kit, and I decided to put the heads and hands on pins so I could paint them without touching them, as I've seen done here many times.

And instead of attaching these 1/8th scale pieces with a heavy electric drill designed to insert screws into concrete (which would probably destroy the pieces), I used this tiny hand drill I found out about here:

It works great! It's almost as easy to drive the bit into resin as it would be to push a nail into a piece of balsafoam.

So thanks - couldn't have done it without you!

Nice post,Tim! It's too easy to take this place for granted, and forget how valuable a resource it is!

Ditto to everything you said, Tim - 20 years on the CH and still learning and seeing some new technique every day!! (And hope I have contributed a few tips as well!)

A really nice acknowledgement of the CH community Tim. We would all do well to follow your example.
