These autographs were something I use to like getting but then the price got too out of hand so I stopped.

They are only doing it that way because people are making money on ebay from the signatures. I always said they should charge you unless you get the photo or item personalized. I can't sell an item with my name on it. I think that is the way the ***cough*** celebs at these shows should handle it.

I don't mind giving them some cash but $30 for a washed up actor is a bit much. I paid Wes Craven $25(worth every penny) but some of these has beens are charging over that.

I have never gone to Chiller looking for autographs. Since my first trip I have always gone for the kits. Nowadays they are getting harder and harder to find among the tables of bootleg DVD's, which I equate to recasts. Get something original or don't bother. You want to sell movies on your table then make them. As a person who works in the independent film industry I abhor the thought of someone else making money off of my hard work when I can barely pay my bills.
Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality.

If you want to see what i do for fun take a click, It may be disturbing.

Here's my batch of photo's
http://www.chillertheatre.com/c1008/chil1008.htm

Sorry many of the model's came out slightly fuzzy! (I have GOT
to learn to take multiple photo's in hopes ONE comes out sharp!!)

If you other's who took photo's, can I snag them to replace my
crappy attempts!?

We had a great time. SIXTY-SEVEN entries! (we were giddy as
Japanese school girls!!) Thanks to all the clubhouse mbrs who
introduced themselves to us! Was a fun 3 days and can't thank you
guys enough for making the contest a success!

We truly appreciate the participation!!

(We only had ONE youth entry... so we gotta work on that and get more
kids entered!! We can do it!)

Thanks to our sponsors.... Alternative Images, Moebius & Diceman, for
providing the kits to award to the winners! They go above and beyond and
we are truly grateful for their kind contributions! Salt's of the Earth, they
are!

Now gotta catch up on emails and check out how Kitbuilders did! Hope
everyone had a great time, whichever con you attended and see all you
Yahoo's next October!

#49 Post by Richard Cacioppo »

Good work Buc. It was nice seeing all the pictures through your eyes.

Why not take a look at my shots I took there too.

Just go there from my home page and click on Chiller.

I'm, as always, mixed up I got 35 hits and no responces. Humm, I'm tired of wondering. Just gotta keep doing my thing no matter what.

loved your pictures

#55 Post by Richard Cacioppo »

Hey Mike,

It's great fun sharing pictures. It looks like you got to the place i didn't have the patience to wait on line for. Downstairs where the other super duper stars were located. I would have loved to visit and say hello to Linda Hamilton and Leslie Nelson. The two of them were tops in my book. But again, waiting on that line turned me sour and since there was so much to see and do on the floor where I was it didn't much matter. I did go to many of the same vendors that you hit, all of which were really fun to visit and check out their soup to nuts on display and for sale. It's really something every modeler should experience first hand. It's the second time in my life I've gone to it and without a doubt I'll be there and other places down the road. Wish I had someone to share it with, maybe my grand kids someday. But until, I'll keep the faith by doing it all again next time 'round. My high was getting to see Zacherli. Kindda like getting to meet Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vagne. Would have loved to shake their hand too, but where they are I'll only have to hope in some after life to sit down and share a bowl of Cherry Garcia with Gerry himself. lol

It's a fine thing to share these photo's and play the Monster Mash for everyone to get up and dance with the skeleton's in their closets. lol

thanks again guys for the pics and the sharing. Maybe next time we can meet up and say "Hello" to each other on our trip through the wackie world of people and everything else on the agenda.

Hey Mr. Monkey

Wow just wanted to congratulate you on one of the most awesome dio's I've ever seen. I knew it hands down when I saw it, that my work was out classed by what you have done. I haven't gone to your sight but people should see it with the lights going strong throughout your piece. You pulled out all the stops with this one. I couldn't take enough pictures of what you've done. But your main picture says it best. Much better than my own shot. Your work is inspiring to me. No doubt I'll be hooking up electrics to some piece down the road. What better set up to use electric than a Frankenstien scene. Brilliant! Loved it to pieces. Off the record, I put my peoples vote for your piece and not my own. lol Only a fool doesn't face the facts. But watch out my friend I'll be following your footsteps with eager antipation and delight. For without the kid in the picture, as the cheering section it worth a plug nickel. "Ra ra ra pa, go for it." My only cheering section is me. All else is silence in the dark. But maybe tomorrow I'll wake up and someone out this will say, "Hey Rich. Come on, really love your spirit. We want to ride on your train track too." Ah ... a wanting audience. It's just part of the picture I've always dreamed of. But at least I've got the me, and that's a fact.

So glad you won. I'm totally in your court on that decision. Can't wait to see your next project. Keep 'em coming.

sincerely,

Great photo's! The Beatles were on Posthumous Prods table.

I'd like to snag a couple of those Moebius photo's if I could.

Never got a chance to see Linda Hamilton... went by her table
a couple of times and she wasn't there. You got some great shots
of alot of the guests! Good work. (Tricky trying to get 'ninja shots'
of them w/out getting called out! "Hey! You can't take that picture,
buddy!" :)

I try to wait for them to pose with someone, then stand next to
the guy taking the pix, and act like I know the person standing in
for the pose! heehee

Liked it better when we'd go around with copies of 'Model Maniacs'
mag and ask it they'd pose for the mag! Worked every time! :)
