Sanding Clear Resin

#1 Post by puntapret »

Hello,

I tried the Search, but it seems that my words is too common :

"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: clear resin sanding"

So, i'll try my luck here.

How do you sand a clear resin so that is no trace of sanding (no frost effect) ? Any ideas or if someone can point me to a thread (if there is already one) ?

Thanks before

I rcently did my first clear resin kit, i used a fine sand paper and wet it a little bit before sanding and worked my way to a finishing sand paper which is really fine, wet it again and it all came up pretty clear and smooth, i suppose you could also use the sort of buffing cloths as well toward the end to really clear it up.

After wet sanding with very fine sandpaper (sometimes up to 1500 grit) you could try finishing your part off with Novus plastic polish:

Sometimes you eat the b'ar, and sometimes, well, he eats you.
