A really interesting beastie! Somewhat centaur-like.
I think the proportions are good. Given my background I can't help being a bit analytical in regards function. Maybe irrelevant to you. It's good the body and torso are upright, and the legs are nice and sturdy and being splayed slightly offers a wide, stable base. I like the flaring pelvis offering visual balance and lowing the centre of gravity. I'm wondering if the tail could be more substantial to balance the head and arms but that depends upon the lifestyle and whether the interest is primary aesthetic, as does any of this. In this case the tail could offer dynamic balance when moving, especially when the arms are used to manipulate objects, weapons, or prey. The weight being slightly forward makes for a creature with a potentially powerful lunging attack. Though the small cranium suggests a beast of little brain with limited capacity to use tools or weapons.

Thank you for the helpful analysis Steve!

I have been considering making the tail a bit rounder and longer as it still has the tentacle look to it (which is what that piece started as).

If I ever put a picture book together of my creatures , maybe we could reach a deal for you to write up the anatomically based lifestyle description for each one …

Thank you for allowing me to indulge one of my interests: fantastical animal zoology/anatomy.

Your picture book notion is a nice one. Not sure I'm qualified enough but what the hey, I'll keep practicing.

I like your swipe at another arm position. It certainly begs the question of what is it doing?
  • Swiping or Swinging: The creature may be slashing/hitting out.
  • Grasping or Reaching: The creature might be extending its arm to grab something—perhaps prey, an object, or even a ledge. The fingers look poised for action.
  • Defensive Posture: It could be shielding itself or preparing to block an incoming threat. The raised arm might suggest alertness or readiness.
  • Casting or Channeling Power: The pose could imply it's summoning energy, casting a spell, or unleashing some kind of force.
  • Commanding or Signaling: The gesture might be part of a communication—like issuing a command or signaling others in its group.
  • Holding an object: A battle axe, a shield, a magical orb or staff or toasting with a goblet .

Thanks guys.

Steve, He is going to be holding another yet-to-be-determined creature by the throat .

I am still concerned about the proportions , especially :
- the front hips seem a bit too wide
- upper torso is too big and wide relative to hind quarters

May have to do some drastic restructuring on this guy…

Started beefing up the back haunches
Removed huge trapz between neck and shoulders

Although it’s looking much better, the length of the lower body is too short relative to the upper torso.
So,I am going to have to cut the body in half and create a longer middle section between front and back legs.

Taking a new approach.

I forgot that I had an unbuilt Hell-Hound kit, which is a hundred times better in size and details than my modified Tsukuda terror dog body .

So I cut the Ernie head-torso off the terror dog and I am going to put them on the hell Hound.

Guess I need to change name from Teror-Taur to Hell-Taur

Changing the right front leg to be on the ground versus raised up in the air.
This is because the new upper Ernie torso is pretty heavy and requires both front legs to be on the ground for support.

Thank you for your consistent positive feedback Vlad, it is sincerely appreciated.

Started attaching the Ernie upper torso to the Hell Hound lower body.
