For the base I took a looser approach to paining.
Most of the slate tiles were painted individually but I then did a quick dry brush of mahogany over the tiles and sparing applied a medium rust wash.
The stone was grey with some spattering of a lighter grey plus a charcoal.
The stained glass window was outlined in black and then transparent colors were used for the panes on one half of the window.

Final images of Wednesday are in the Model Museum.
