Looks good!
What you could go is five it a wash, a bit darker than the tan skin color, and paint it over the model. The wash will go into all the creases and make the detail stand out more. Just don't let it pool or create tide markings.
When it all dry take slightly lighter color of your browns and dry brush it lightly over the scales making them jump out. I see you did it here and there around the eye. But with the darker wash underneath it'll really give it the pop. HTH

I agree with what's-his-name. Totally and emphatically! If I saw a fish that color at the market I'd pass it by, since you brought it up... Mr. Spinney looks really good tho!
